The Royal Netherlands Army Band 'Johan Willem Friso'

On 1 January 2005, a reorganisation of military music in the Netherlands took place: the four existing bands within the Royal Land Forces were discontinued, and the Royal Netherlands Army Band ‘Johan Willem Friso', was founded, continuing the traditions of the previous Royal Military Band from The Hague (founded in 1829) and the Johan Willem Friso Military Band from Assen (founded in 1819).
